The 2025 Conference of Pacific Education Ministers (CPEM) Meeting will be held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG), from March 18-20, 2025 at the APEC Haus.
As you are aware, the PNG Government through the Ministry of Education will serve as the host to the 2025 CPEM, working in partnership with the Pacific Regional Education Framework Programme (PacREF) Facilitating Unit (PFU).
The University of the South Pacific who houses the PFU are cohosts.
The theme for the 2025 CPEM is Transforming Edukesen for a Better Pacific.
The 2025 CPEM is a pivotal face-to-face gathering aimed at advancing educational policies and priorities, sharing best practices and fostering regional collaboration and also reflects a more active and formal engagement with civil society organisations (CSOs) who are important stakeholders in education development in the Pacific.

Please ensure that your application includes an assignment letter from your media organisation and proof of identity, which should be uploaded along with the accreditation form.
Kindly note that media accreditation is issued on an individual basis. Media officials attending as observers, speakers, civil society representatives or development partners are not eligible for media passes. These individuals must register as delegates for the 2025 CPEM.
International media personnel based in PNG, or elsewhere, are required to have valid work permits and appropriate immigration documentation.
Please be aware that accreditation for the 2025 CPEM is separate from any travel or immigration documentation needed to enter PNG.
All costs associated with attending the 2025 CPEM must be covered by the individual media representative and organisation.
Upon acceptance of your registration, only those issued with official 2025 CPEM invites will be issued with an official accreditation badge at the registration booth, at the opening of the 2025 CPEM meeting.
The 2025 CPEM Secretariat will endeavor to acknowledge all applications and strive to provide a timely response.
