Roselyn Lata serves as a Teaching Assistant in Chemistry at the Division of Chemistry at USP. She earned her Master of Science in Chemistry and a Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching from USP. Since 2011, she has been involved in teaching undergraduate courses in Chemistry. Before becoming part of the teaching staff, Roselyn worked as a Scientific Officer – Instrumentation at USP, where she provided specialized support for the Division’s instrumentation facilities. Her experience in the industry as a Research Associate at Douglas Pharmaceuticals Fiji Limited allowed her to create pharmaceutical formulations and develop testing methods. In her role as a chemist, her MSc research concentrated on utilizing biomass as a renewable energy source. Roselyn’s research interests encompass the development of new and existing biomaterials for applications in drug delivery, adsorption, and nutrition.
