Detail Information

Mr. Tejesvi Patel became a full-time staff member at the university in January 2025, after having worked as a part-time demonstrator and instructor since 2021. He recently completed his Master’s degree in Chemistry, with a specialization in Polymer Material Science.

As part of the Polymer Research Group, my work is cantered on the modification of bio-compatible polymers to address critical challenges in healthcare and environmental sustainability. By enhancing the properties and functionality of these materials, my goal is to contribute to both improving human health outcomes and preserving our natural ecosystems.

Undergraduate Courses:

  • CH101
  • CH201
  • CH105
  • Member of The Chemical Society of the South Pacific since 2018
  • Executive member of The Chemical Society of the South Pacific since 2021

Presented my research at the 2023 Falling Walls Lab Aotearoa New Zealand and placed 2nd amongst 21 other researchers from New Zealand. This allowed me to present Fiji, the Pacific and New Zealand at the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin, Germany. I have been the only representative from the Pacific to ever present at the Summit.
