Dr. Dhirendran Kumar is from the Sugar City (Lautoka) and is currently an Assistant Lecturer in the disciple of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He completed his MSc in Engineering at University of South Pacific working on “Fractional control of the speed in a high-performance electrical drive with induction motor: Comparison with classical control and application to a flywheel energy storage system (FESS)” in 2019. He completed his PhD studies at University of Palermo in Italy, working on “Advance control of air-to-water reversible heat pumps” in 2024.

Research Interest:
Control of Heat Pumps, Power system, Energy systems, Power Electronics and drives.
