Postgraduate Certificate in Border Security

The Postgraduate Certificate in Border Security is specifically intended to meet the tertiary training needs of immigration and other law enforcement professionals engaged in securing Pacific Island Countries borders. The programme consists of two courses, which will prepare participants to think critically about theoretical and practical aspects applicable to the field of border security and development.

Postgraduate Diploma in Border Security

The Postgraduate Diploma in Border Security is a professional qualification specifically intended for immigration and other law enforcement personnel engaged in securing Pacific Island Countries borders. It consists of four courses which will examine practical and theoretical dimensions of AF and the challenging nature of border security in PIC contexts.

PP405: Ethical Issues in Leadership and Command

PP406: Border Security Intelligence and the International Security Environment

PP407: International Cooperation, Partnerships and the Border Security Context

 

Masters in Border Security

The Masters in Border Security will consist of a thesis only option (masters by research, PP700) OR a second option (masters by coursework) including the completion of eight courses (including six core and two elective courses) as follows:

PP405: Ethical Issues in Leadership and Command

PP406: Border Security Intelligence and the International Security Environment

PP407: International Cooperation, Partnerships and the Border Security Context

PP408: Emerging Technologies in Border Security

PP409: Research Project in Border Security

PL409: Diplomacy, Negotiations & Statecraft

PL400 Regional Diplomacy in the Pacific Islands

SO408 Issues in Social & Public Policy
