Statham - Law Discipline

The Statham Law Discipline of the University of the South Pacific is isolated but has a very beautiful surrounding environment, in Suva, Fiji. It is located at Statham Street, off Fletcher Road, that which street leads to the Beach Road at Suva Point. The Law Discipline is established in 1994, the main Law Campus is situated at Emalus, Port Vila, Vanuatu. The Statham Law Discipline is not a separate, Law Discipline, but an extension of the Emalus Law Campus to cater for the increasing demand in legal education, in Fiji. It offers LLB, PDLP, LLM and combined degrees in law.

There is also a “LAW CLINIC which is an elective unit for 3rd and 4th year law students, and offers experience and exposure for students to get a chance to deal with real clients. Students are required to be on duty at the Law Clinic offices at Laucala Campus one day per fortnight from 10am till 1pm. Getting to help clients with real legal dilemmas is always an eye opener for those students who have successfully completed the course.
