Dr. Christian Girard

Dr. Christian Girard is a Lecturer of Management and Public Administration at The University of the South Pacific. He has professional and research experience in academia, NGOs and the private sector in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Oceania and he has previously taught at the Asian University for Women (Bangladesh) and Université de Montréal (Canada). His work experience and research interests include entrepreneurship and social innovation; international, cross-cultural and project management; planning, public administration and public policy in the Global South; as well as macroeconomics and microeconomics of development, poverty reduction, the informal sector and informal settlements. He is the co-editor of the book Mapping Security in the Pacific: A Focus on Context, Gender and Organisational Culture (Routledge, 2020), covering issues related to climate change, governance, indigeneity, adaptation, and resilience.
