Detail Information

Darmesh Kumar received his BSc., PGCE. and PGDip.Sc. degrees from University of the South Pacific, Suva, Fiji in 2009, 2012 and 2017, respectively. He has taught Mathematics and Physics at various Secondary schools in Fiji before joining University of the South Pacific as a Teaching Assistant in Mathematics in the School of Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Physics. His research interest lies in control science with the specific interest in motion planning and control of unmanned aerial vehicles. His research interests include stability of nonlinear systems and autonomous quadrotors.

Interest:
Swimming, Socializing, Playing football and other outdoor activities.

Qualification:
BSc (Maths/Physics), PGCE, PGDip. Sc. (Mathematics).

Research Interest:

  1. Stability of Nonlinear Systems using Lyapunov and Lyapunov-like functions.
  2. Robotics and Planning Algorithms, where the focus is on designing algorithms that generate useful motions by processing complicated geometric models.
  3. Quadrotor motion planning and control.
  4. Differential Equations for Modelling.
