I am an experienced Aeronautical Engineer with an extensive background in commercial aircraft product analysis and design, project leadership, and the ability to develop new and innovative areas of research in any context. Possessing extensive practical and theoretical expertise and experience in both design and analysis of aviation parts and products. Accomplished and highly recognised at integrating industrial practises and tools into academic learning and teaching to prepare industry ready graduate engineers.
I was a lead analyst engineer on the 787-9 Inboard and Outboard flaps, 787-10 Edges, 777-9 product develop and programme for the Flaperon, Flaperon Hinged Panel (FHP) and Cove Lip Door (CLD) and the MQ-28 Ghost Bat. Other special projects in my portfolio include; the 787-9 bird strike and damage tolerance analysis, 777-9 Flaperon skins analysis, CLD analysis as well as the wing trailing edge FEA deflection analysis for 777X. I was also on the design team for the MQ-28 Ghost Bat.
I have written multiple strength check notes (SCNs) on carbon composite and metallic structures for certification against the federal aviation regulations (FARs). I am an expert in FEA using Patran and Nastran, Abaqus, Strand7, and have developed design skills using CATIA and SolidWorks.
