Greetings from the Graduate School of Business at the University of the South Pacific!

The Graduate School of Business is pleased to announce the Master of Business Administration and Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (HRM) programme intake for the year 2026.

The requirements for the Graduate School of Business programmes are outlined below:

  • MBA Programme:Applicants need to have an undergraduate degree and a minimum of three (3) years of working experience at a managerial, professional, or supervisory level.
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (HRM) Programme: Applicants must hold a Diploma (Level 6) and a minimum of five (5) years of working experience at a managerial, professional, or supervisory level.

Required Documents

  • The applicant is required to submit a CV, two (2) written references
  • Copies of certificates/transcripts, birth certificates, and two (2) passport-size photographs along with their application form.
  • On the other hand, continuing students need to submit a CV, two (2) written references, and copies of their certificates/transcripts.

 After applying, an assessment committee will review the application and provide feedback on its status. Before admission, students must take an assessment test, similar to an aptitude test, and a 10-minute mandatory face to face/online interview.

At the Laucala campus, there is one intake per year. All new students will commence with their courses in January and complete them in December.

The MBA/PGCBA(HRM) programme structure

  • The MBA Programme comprises 11 core courses and 1 elective, while the Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (HRM) programme consists of three (3) courses.
  • Upon completion of the Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (HRM) programme, students have the option to apply for the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (General Managers) programme which comprises 6 courses of which 3 courses will be cross-credited to the programme and eventually proceed to the MBA programme.
  • The students are required to maintain a 0 GPA, that is a B average grade throughout the programme. This rule applies to the students enrolling in the PGCBA(HRM) programme progressing to the PGDBA(GM) programme leading to the MBA programme.

Fees

Each course carries a fee of FJD 1800.00. Fees can be paid through personal savings, superannuation and/or sponsorship from their respective organization/s.

Lectures/Classes

  • For Laucala intake, the /lectures/classes are conducted in the weekdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m through face-to-face instruction.  Each course spans 11 weeks, with 2 weeks dedicated to examinations
  • For regional campuses intake, the /lectures/classes are conducted in the weekdays from 5.00 pm to 9:00 p.m through face-to-face instruction Each course spans 5 weeks, with 1 week dedicated to examinations.

Awards

Students who commence with the Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration programme and then proceed to the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration programme can apply for graduation upon completing each respective programme. However, students who enroll in the full MBA programme will receive their award after completing all 12 MBA courses.
