Giving Back: GSB’s Donation to Fiji Blind School

The Graduate School of Business (GSB) took a meaningful step in supporting the Fiji Blind School by organizing a donation drive on 21 May 2025, aimed at benefiting both the staff and students of the school. The collective effort of students, staff, and the wider community, including the generous support of Ram Sami and Son’s (Fiji) Limited, made this initiative possible. The donations included essential everyday items specifically tailored to meet the needs of the blind students, helping to enhance both their education and well-being.

The donation was warmly received by the school administration and the students, who expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generosity. Ms. Barbara Farook, the Executive Director of the Fiji Blind School, provided an update on the school’s current enrollment, revealing that there are 24 students in total, with 11 of them boarding at the school. She highlighted the significance of such timely donations, noting that they not only assist the students with their immediate needs but also serve as a powerful reminder to the children that there are people who genuinely care for them and their future.

This initiative reflects the Graduate School of Business’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. GSB sincerely thanks Ram Sami and Son’s (Fiji) Limited, the students, and all the stakeholders whose collective effort made this possible. By coming together, they have made a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most. The support underscores the importance of leadership beyond the classroom and shows that even small acts of kindness can profoundly impact individuals and communities.

Thanks
