YOUR IDEAS, CHANGE MY WORLD

Ideas change the world we live in, and it starts right here at The University of the South Pacific (USP) where the richness of culture together with education excellence provides an ideal setting to help develop the ideas of those who are eager to make a change in their own communities.

Leaders across the region came together to establish USP more than 50 years ago with the goal to educate and enhance the ideas of our young people in the hopes of creating a better future for the younger generation.

Through their vision, USP has been able to nurture ideas to address Pacific issues, identify and create solutions to the region’s challenges and facilitate positive progress in the lives of our Pacific people.

Today, that vision has created a hub of Pacific knowledge and learning that has produced over 58,000 alumni who contribute greatly to the Pacific.

Today, we face many challenges ranging from epidemics to climate change that can be addressed through innovative ideas and smart solutions that are often driven by young Pacific islanders, most of whom are graduates of our premier institution of higher learning in the region with over five decades of continued educational excellence.

Over five decades, USP has educated and continues to mould the ideas of young people from over 20 nationalities, with 14 campuses in 12 member countries. The University also continues to influence Pacific Islanders through the pursuit of excellence in knowledge by providing world-class education and research that improves the lives of individuals and communities.

As thousands of young people across the region now look to grow their ideas, USP has launched its “Your Ideas Change My World” (YICMW) campaign that will show how USP is woven into the fabric of the Pacific, helping the lives of grassroots communities through innovative ideas, research projects, student, staff, and alumni.

Students, and staff will be guided by our Pacific Values of inclusive family, participatory and open dialogue that can build confidence in developing the goals of our young people.

The YICMW campaign showcases the stories of our Pacific people who studied at USP and have gone on to become agents of positive change in the fields of sports, technology, academia, and policymaking amongst other noble professions that drive regional progress.

USP has helped thousands of Pacific islanders grow through the ranks of regionalism to become leaders, while others blazed trails in their home countries in various sectors contributing to national development.

As one of two regional universities in the world, USP promotes diversity in culture and inclusion, enabling the youth of the Pacific to effectively communicate what they hope to achieve in their fields of study and execute their innovative ideas.

Grow your ideas today at The University of the South Pacific, learn from the best in our region and impact the change you want to see in your homes, societies, communities, and nation.

Come join us at USP, let’s learn together!
