Chinese Director of CI-USP Visited Lautoka Chinese School

On 24 April, Prof. Yang Hui, Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at University of the South Pacific (CI-USP), visited Ms. Peng Fengmin, Chairman of Board of Lautoka Chinese School, with her Administrative assistant Mei Luo, Chinese teachers Yang Guishuang and Huang Jie.

Ms. Peng showed Prof. Yang and her colleagues around the school located by the side of sea, introduced the history of Lautoka Chinese School and then visited the Chinese classrooms. Ms. Peng also demonstrated the Chinese course schedule, Chinese teacher resources, current enrollment of students and the future of the school. Prof. Yang introduced the history of CI-USP in different campuses and teaching resources especially in USP Lautoka campus. Both Prof. Yang and Ms. Peng expressed the idea of enforcing collaboration, exploring together and gaining more in Chinese cultural events, Chinese language course expansion and the image of China in Lautoka and even nationwide. At the end, Prof. Yang gave Chinese school a new set of memorial stamps of the year of rooster designed by a Chinese designer and published by the Fijian government, wishing to achieve more through this bilateral cooperation.
