MBA 2012

What was your most memorable moment as a student?
Every moment of the two years program was memorable because I was in the first cohorts of the Vanuatu MBA program (2011 – 2012) at Emalus Campus. 

Describe your experience while studying at USP.  
A new experience to be able to work and study full time. This experience helps to encourage other executives in Vanuatu who are now pursuing their studies through the Vanuatu MBA Program at the Emalus Campus. We had our own experiences  with regards to training facilities at Emalus but the thought of being the first cohorts that will be graduating from Vanuatu MBA Program somewhat help us to focus on our studies.

What was your greatest achievement while studying at USP?
Learning and sharing from the experiences of other colleagues and visiting professors through lectures and group projects/assignments.  

After graduating from USP, what were some of the highlights of your career?
It is only a year ago since I graduated with MBA but I am confident that with my Masters Degree the future looks very promising. I am currently working at the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu as the Director of Corporate Services. My previous work experience was with the Government in the Department of Finance.

How do you think USP helped you in your career?

It has broaden my knowledge and help me as an executive to always have the helicopter’s view of managing an organisation and leave the technicalities to the expert employees.

After graduating from USP, what has been your greatest achievement?
Contribute more constructively in managing my organisation, boost confidence and improve presentation skills.

What inspires you and why?
Challenges because it makes me rise to the challenge.

What advice would you give to current and future students of USP?
Life is not fair – get used to it!

Please share your top three tips that you think are most important for our current students or recent graduates that will help them when starting out on their career paths. 

  • Manage your time wisely
  • Actively participate in lectures and group discussions 
  • Attend to details and requirements of your program

What has your involvement been with the University since you graduated?
Actively engaged in the Alumni activities.
