Dr. Debi Futter-Puati, Director of USP Cook Islands Campus, assumed duties on 10 June 2019 and is the first ever female to hold this post.
Prior to joining the University of the South Pacific, Dr. Futter-Puati served as Lecturer in Education at Monash University, Australia as well as University of Waikato, New Zealand. She has served extensively in the field of education as well as working with the Government Ministries in the Cook Islands and civil society organizations.
Dr. Futter-Puati holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (2017), a Masters of Arts [History] from the University of Auckland (2009). Further she acquired her Postgraduate Diplomas in Special Education Studies, Advanced Teaching and Higher Teaching from Victoria University of Wellington in 2001, 1995 and 1991 respectively.
The Campus Director is supported by Office Manager, Ms. Tureheni File and Finance Assistant, Ms. Lavinia Fameitau.
