Read & Write
The University of the South Pacific has deployed Read & Write with collaboration between USP Campus Life, USP Disability Center (DRC) and Information Technology Services (ITS). It is designed to assist students with dyslexia and/or weak English language.
The software is available in selected Student Computer Labs (excluding N-Computing) across Laucala and the region.
What is Dyslexia?
Dyslexia causes difficulty in reading sentences from left-to-right fluently despite having a high level of intelligence. If we can recall a friend from school who always had trouble reading a paragraph in class, then we have possibly already met someone with dyslexia in the past.
Apart from assisting with this condition, Read & Write is useful for students to increase overall accuracy with English. It is a combination of text, audio and video tools which enhance your learning experience at university.
