Arpana joined the Learning Design & Development team in 2017 as an Education Technologist. Before joining USP she was posted as a Research Officer in Stats/IT in the Ministry of Education where her basic responsibilities included collecting data and conducting researches on MOEís ICT needs and being part of the Digital Literacy Project. She has also been part of the teaching fraternity including FNU and various secondary schools for 8 years.
Her qualifications are: Masterís degree in Information Systems, Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems (PGDip IS), BSc Degree in Chemistry and Information Systems from USP, Diploma in Tertiary Teaching from FNU and PGDip in Information Technology from University of Fiji where she received a gold medal for being the most outstanding student. Arpana also has a Certificate in Applying the Quality Matter Rubric from Quality Matters and a Certificate in Peer Reviewer Course from Quality Matters (QM), USA. She recently attained Certificate in Instructional Design Models from University of Maryland Global Campus.
She is affiliated with the South Pacific Computer Society (SPaCS) and in her spare time loves reading personal development books, solving puzzles and listening to music. Her interest lies in deep learning and quality online teaching and learning.
