The Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education (ASCILITE) held its annual conference in Perth, Western Australia. Held at Curtain University from 29 November to 2 December 2015, the theme for the conference was “Globally connected, Digitally enabled”. The conference covered various streams particularly:

  • Learning Analytics,
  • MOOCs,
  • Digital media learning in formal and informal settings,
  • Game and challenge based learning,
  • Blended learning,
  • Digital Badges and others.

Centre for Flexible Learning staff members, Dr. Irene Yee Chief and Deepak Bhartu attended the conference along with College of Foundation Studies colleagues, Semi Duaibe and Loriza Rafi. They found the conference to be interesting, engaging and very relevant to their work, especially as teachers, facilitators and course developers in higher education.
