CFL Faculty Roadshows

Pro Vice-Chancellor Flexible Learning and Director CFL, Prof. Som Naidu, presenting at the FBE Faculty Roadshow on 14th February 2018 at the FBE Post Graduate Lecture Theatre

A CFL delegation led by Pro Vice-Chancellor Flexible Learning and Director CFL, Prof. Som Naidu, is currently engaged in a roadshow, with visits to the Faculty of Business & Economics and Faculty of Arts, Law, and Education on 14th and 15th February 2018, respectively. The purpose of this roadshow is to engage with academic and teaching about the work of CFL in relation to Future Proofing teaching and learning at USP. Topics and issues covered include: 

  • The Flexible Learning and the Open Education Resources policies, and their implications for teaching and learning at USP;
  • Mainstreaming flexible learning and the adoption and integration of open educational resources in teaching and learning at USP; 
  • Staff and Student use of Technology survey to benchmark staff and student readiness for flexible and technology enhanced learning; and
  • The revised Student Experience Survey for evaluating the quality of teaching and student learning experience.

The roadshows was also offered an opportunity for CFL to promote awareness among the Faculties about the Open Education Week 2018 Event which is being organized by CFL on 15th March 2018 at the Japan-Pacific Multi-Purpose Lecture Theatre, and also about the upcoming Technology, Education and Design (TED) Futures Seminar Series to be facilitated by CFL. 

Deans of both Faculties thanked Pro Vice-Chancellor Flexible Learning and Director CFL, Prof. Som Naidu, and the CFL Team for initiating the roadshow and plan to work further with CFL in expanding technology enhanced learning and teaching practices at USP.

Similar roadshows will be conducted for FSTE and Pacific TAFE in the coming weeks.
