With increasing emphasis on students learning, the library is a focal point for student activities. The library supports study and research at USP-Labasa campus and provides an excellent information services, resources and facilities for students and staffs to facilitate their learning and research. The collection, service delivery, technology and other activities are regularly evaluated in order to meet the challenges of a changing technology in the global society.

The main library is located at the second floor of USP Labasa campus covering an area of 119 square meters which seats 35 readers and currently houses approximately 5,500 volumes. Of significance is the Pacific collection, a valuable collection of materials on the Pacific Islands, prescribed text, general collection, reference materials supplementary reading, serials and audio.

The goals and objectives of the library are achieved through providing excellent library and information service, resources and facilities for students and staffs to facilitate their learning. The new Sirsi Dynix Symphony / Enterprise Library System was introduced to Labasa campus and Savusavu center late in 2019 and it provides a strong base of easy searching, fast cataloguing, streamlined circulation and inventory. Library users are trained during orientation on how to access electronic search and other library resources and databases. 

The librarian conducts its literacy programs regularly to all students and are specifically shown the formal library arrangement especially how the Dewey Decimal classification system works.
