Ronal Lal is currently a Research Assistant in Aquaculture in the School of Marine Studies. He has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (Biology), Postgraduate Diploma in Biology, and Master of Science in Marine Science from the University of the South Pacific. His thesis focused on coral recruitment and diversity in sub-optimal urban environments. Ronal also has a Trade Diploma in Automotive Engineering (light automotive) from the Fiji National University. Ronal was a Research Assistant with the Institute of Applied Sciences in 2015, and a Teaching Assistant with the School of Marine Studies in 2016, before joining the Aquaculture section of Marine Studies. Ronalís research interests reside in coral resilience and persistence in contemporary environments.
