Master of Commerce (Land Management)

The Master of Commerce in Land Management programme aims to prepare candidates for an advanced Land Management career in business, consultancy, research or public service, or in preparation for further academic training. The students would have exposure at an advanced level to the wide range of issues that reflects the principal areas of specialization in the land management profession. It also enable students to develop an analytical and methodological skills that are critical for management, decision–making and problem–solving roles.

The programme consists of a thesis or two postgraduate courses and a Supervised Research Project. The Postgraduate Diploma is the normal entry qualification for the degree of Master. A Masters programme is 2 years’ worth 120 credit points. An outstanding candidate with the degree of bachelor of The University of the South Pacific with GPA of at least 4.0 in the courses in an appropriate major(s) at the 200 level and 300 levels may bypass the postgraduate diploma and proceed to complete the master’s programme by thesis. The candidate may be required to complete postgraduate courses as specified on admission to the master’s programme. Also a candidate can be admitted for master with an appropriate Postgraduate Diploma of the University of the South Pacific worth at least 80 credit points with a GPA of at least 3.0.
