Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Land Management programme aims to prepare candidates for an advanced Land Management career in business, consultancy, research or public service, or in preparation for further academic training. The students would have exposure at an advanced level to the wide range of issues that reflects the principal areas of specialization in the land management profession. It also enable students to develop an analytical and methodological skills that are critical for management, decision–making and problem–solving roles.

For Doctor of Philosophy any person who has been awarded a degree of masters by thesis by a Senate recognized university shall be eligible to apply for registration a student of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and if the application is approved to be so registered. An applicant having Masters by coursework shall be required to complete a Directed Research Project as a prerequisite for admission to PhD. A person can be admitted into a Doctor of Philosophy programme at the start of any semester in the year.
