About the Journal

Directions: Journal of Educational Studies was first published in 1978 by the Institute of Education, the University of the South Pacific. It stopped publications at the end of 2008. The School of Education has taken over and housed the journal in 2016. It is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes research articles, essays, critical comments and book reviews of Pacific education.

The journal’s figurehead motif is based on a nineteenth century carving of a ship’s prow from Choiseul, Solomon Islands. It signifies forward movement.

Submissions need to be in APA style. The articles should not have been published or under consideration at another journal. Submit electronically by emailing Dr Jeremy Dorovolomo: jeremy.dorovolomo(at)usp.ac.fj Phone: (679) 323 222 0

Directions: Journal of Educational Studies does not approve of academic dishonesty and submissions found to have plagiarized will be rejected and Directions will not accept any submissions from the individual (s) in the future. If the manuscript is found to have been plagiarized after Directions has published the paper, it will be removed. The university or organization of the person (s) plagiarizing will be informed about the academic dishonesty.
