GSB hosts Project Management Workshop

44 participants successfully participated in the Project Management Workshop that was hosted by the University of the South Pacific's (USP) Graduate School of Business at the Statham Campus on Wednesday, 28 November 2018.

Course coordinator, Dr. Ofer Zwikael, who hails from the Australian National University, stated that the Project Management Workshop was designed to give new project managers and project team members the essential tools they need to deliver projects successfully, that is, on time and fulfilling the budgetary requirements.

This one day workshop introduced the participants with the most effective and simple project management processes and tools. This would allow the participants to proactively and confidently support their projects and start applying what they have learnt from the workshop in their own organisations. The workshop also featured the complete project life cycle, from initial project proposal and definition, through project implementation, and finally to the often neglected project completion phase.

This course comprised of short lectures, case histories, role plays, seminar and theories combined with the latest real life experience.

Upon completion of the workshop the participants were able to:

  • Understand the role of various project players
  • Understand project phases and methodologies
  • Use project management tools and techniques
