Call for Papers Special Issue:

CALL FOR PAPERS FOR Special Issue PUBLICATION: JOURNAL OF PACIFIC STUDIES (JPacS)

General Elections in Fiji 2018 and Solomon Islands 2019: Guest Editors Vijay Naidu and Sandra Tarte, School of Government, Development and International Affairs, USP.

The Journal of Pacific Studies welcomes scholarly articles for a special issue dedicated to the analysis of the November 2018 general elections in Fiji (the second since the restoration of parliamentary democracy in Fiji) and the April 2019 Solomon Islands elections (the first general elections since the RAMSI mission concluded in 2017. Manuscripts should not exceed 8,000 words (about 30-35 pages including notes). 

The Journal of Pacific Studies (JPacS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Business and Economics. It provides a forum for academics as well as practitioners to put forth their thoughts, experiences (including case studies), and research findings together with policy options. It encourages debates on the published papers. We are pleased to extend an invitation to all of you to submit your papers through e-mail to the Acting Editorial Assistant, Mr. Akshay Ram (email: ram_ak(at)usp.ac.fj).

The manuscripts should be prepared using MS Word software with Times New Roman font, size 12, and double space 1.5-inch margin on all the sides on A4 normal size paper. The cover page should have the title of the paper, author(s) name(s), their affiliation, contact address (es), Email and phone no(s). The paper should have an executive summary (abstract) of not more than 200 words. The names of the authors(s) should not be used anywhere in the paper. References, Figure, Tables, etc. should be put at the end of the paper. References should be in standard APA style. The submitted script should have only 5 keywords and should use British spelling. Please click here to view the format of the first page of the Paper. All the submissions shall be electronically acknowledged and the decision of the editorial team based on reports of referees shall be communicated to the authors.

Notes for Prospective Authors

  • Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere
  • All papers are refereed through a peer review process.
  • Deadline for receipt of manuscripts is Deadline till 15 July 2019.
