Cook Islands Campus

The Government of the Republic of India and the Government of the Cook Islands, recognizing their shared vision and Mission, entered into an agreement on the 17 May 2017 to establish a “India - Cook Islands Center of Excellence in Information Technology” in Rarotonga Cook Islands. The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) and The University of the South Pacific Cook Islands are designated to implement the project over the next two years, with assistance from both Governments. This CEIT project contributes toward the Cook Islands national development outcomes, strategic goals and objectives in ICT, Education, sustainable populations, and economic development Mission: To offer specialized training program in the field of ICT to the citizens of Cook Islands To develop skills among teachers & students in the field of ICT and to help in growing the use of ICT in various sectors in the country. To setup the IT Centre which would play the role of a finishing school in Cook Islands and to offer industry ready professional by imparting industry oriented IT training Programme. The Centre for Development in Advanced Computing (C-DAC), India and The University of the South Pacific, Cook Islands (USP) are the cooperating on behalf of these Governments to ensure the project is successful. The Head and Faculty members of CEIT are experienced IT specialists from C-DAC and USP.
