Shonal is a Full Stack Developer at the Centre for Flexible Learning (CFL). He joined CFL's Learning Technologies & Analytics Team in March 2020. Prior to joining CFL, he was a Senior Analyst Programmer based with the Statistics/IT Unit of the Ministry of Education, Heritage and Arts (MEHA). He was recruited by the Access to Quality Education Program (AQEP) of Australian Aid in 2016 to assist the ministry in development of software systems and to provide technical advice in the area of IT. Some of the systems he worked on include FEMIS (Fiji Education Management Information System), FESA (Fiji Education Staffing Appointments) and MEHA Moodle. Before working at MEHA, he was a Technical Products Support Engineer at Digicel Fiji.

Shonal holds a Master of Science degree in Computing Science (thesis), a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Physics from USP.
