Configuring Internet Explorer for Internet Access

Internet Explorer provides a facility for Internet browsing with a faster speed access than Netscape Navigator/Communicator. This document provides the configuration of Internet Explorer.

  1. Go to the Menu toolbar click on Tools , select Internet Options
  2. Click on the General tab

3. In the Home Page address, type

4. Click on the Connections tab, go to LAN settings

5. Then select Use a proxy server... and enter the text displayed on this screen (Address: Port: 3128)

6. Click the Advanced... button and enter the text in the Exceptions section (;localhost;*;144.120.*.*) as displayed here

7. Keep clicking the OK button to complete the setup
