Welcome to The University of the South Pacific (USP) Cook Islands Campus

For over fifty years USP has been leading the Pacific by making distinctive contributions in research, innovation, learning, teaching and community engagement. We have become a global brand, with uniRank placing us amongst the Top 50 universities in Oceania and top 9% internationally.

The USP Cook Islands Centre, originally housed at the Public Health building in Tupapa, was officially established in 1975 under the directorship of Mr. Neville Pearson. The current Campus in Takamoa, opened in 1979 and extended in 2012, boasts 5 class rooms and 3 computer laboratories, a Confucius Institute and a Centre of Excellence in Information Technology.

USP Cook Islands sees an estimated head count of 200 students through our doors annually with a registration count of 469 for 2019 alone.
