Senior USP Moot Team

The School of Law sent two Moot Teams (Junior & Senior) from Statham Campus to participate in a Moot Competition organized by the University of Fiji on Saturday, 1st November 2014. The competition was held at their Saweni Campus in Lautoka. The Moot Judge for both Junior & Senior categories was Judge Michael Kirby, a former Justice of the High Court of Australia.

The Junior team stood their ground throughout the barrage of questions from the Judge but it was the Unifiji team that won the Best Team trophy as well as Best Mooter award. However, for the Senior Category, it was Team USP that won both the Best Team trophy and Best Mooter Award. Alvin Prakash (4th Year law student) won the Best Mooter award.

Our students were very impressive throughout the competition and the trip.

One member from the Junior Team commented that it was a great achievement and the opportunity to have met and received feedback from Justice Kirby was inspiring.

Thank you to the Dean of FALE, School Management and Staff for the wonderful support and opportunity for our students.
