Launch of Fiji Law Review

he publication of the Fiji Law Review is an initiative of law students studying on Laucala Campus. The launch of the publication took place on the Lower Campus in August.

The project was launched by Justice Shameem from the Fiji High Court and Professor Bob Hughes, Dean of FAL both of whom praised the initiative shown by the students in producing this publication.

The initial effort is a modest one but no doubt it will grow once it becomes more widely known. In future it hopes to attract contributions from a wider academic body, legal practitioners and judges.

The students were able to gain sponsorship from private companies in Fiji to support the initial publication.

There is now a substantial body of law students studying online on Laucala Campus and it is appropriate that they have taken steps to achieve recognition. Moves re also underway to establish a Fiji Law Students Association at Laucala.
