USPSA is further acknowledged by the Royal Charter granted to the University by her Majesty the Queen of England on the 4th of February 1970 at Buckingham Palace. Article 16 of the charter clearly states that there should an organization of students. In a collective sweep the 14 USPSA branches form the USPSA Federal Council. Since its inception in 2009, the USPSA Federal Council oversees all the USPSA Branches. The current membership of the association is well over 25,000.

The USPSA Federal Council is an Advocating body which raises student issues to the USP Governance for policy improvement, student’s welfare and facilities. And also facilitates student events and activities at the branch level.
