Welcome to the Emalus Campus Library

The USP Library: Empowerment through excellence in library resources and services for the sustainable development of Pacific Islands peoples.

To advance the University Mission by providing equitable access to excellent library and information services, resources and facilities for students, staff, and the wider Pacific community.

Emalus Campus Library is located at the center our beautiful campus and provides our students with a wealth of resources to help with courses, personal research, current events and so much more!  Our Campus is known to be the Law Campus for USP and we hold a general law books, with law reports, gazettes, and so much more from the South Pacific and only located here. Our Library also includes a Vanuatu Collection with rare materials you can’t find anywhere else in Vanuatu. We have a lovely staff that can assist you with any of your Library needs.  The Library catalogue contains items held at the USP campus libraries. Users can search by keyword, title or author. Results can be refined by campus, date, and resource type.  Search results will include each items call number.  This designates where the item is located on the shelf.   We also provide printing and scanning of your documents.  If you are a staff, student, lawyer, or just desiring to read and grow your knowledge visit us in our Library! We can’t wait to meet you and assist you!

Across Vanuatu we have 4 subcenters located in Santo, Torba, Malampa, and Tanna.  With amazing staff ready to assist in there libraries too.

At the Emalus campus library

  • Comfortably accommodates 150 students.
  • Provides 7 PCs for students/staff, with an additional 2 PCs at the circulation desk and 4 PCs in the back office for library assistants.
  • Assists sub-centers by sending newspapers every 3 months and providing materials they require for their libraries.
