Welcome Message by the University Library

Kia Orana, Mauri, Faka alofa lahi atu, Omo yekwo, Talofa lava, Halo. Welkam, Malo ni, Malo e lelei, Fakatalofa atu, Bula vinaka and hello!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the USP Network of twenty-seven libraries located in nations of the USP and spread over millions of miles of our Pacific Ocean.

In response to the demands and expectations of education and living in a changing world, the network offers a wide range of traditional and innovative services for its staff, students and our Pacific community.

International standards and best practices underpin our support for learning, teaching and research whilst we maintain a Pacific approach to services.

In a world influenced by changing technologies, where millennials thrive in an environment of ubiquitous learning of `anytime, anywhere and any place’, the library has grown its collection of digital and virtual resources.

Through a wide range of library services that include enjoying quiet and interactive learning spaces, face to face and online reference services, information skills sessions, learning about your past in our Pacific Collection, reading an ebook, enjoying our displays or revelling in the world of our leisure reading collection, the library seeks to make your engagement with us an enjoyable and rewarding lifelong experience.

Your success at the USP is our aim and in the words of Albert Einstein who said `The only thing that you have to ABSOLUTELY know is the LOCATION of the LIBRARY’, we invite you to make the Library your home away from home!
