Outstanding dining experience at Pacific TAFE Nadi - 16 Sep 2020 04:40:20 pm
The Pacific TAFE training kitchen in Namaka, Nadi, hosted an exhibition lunch for Professor Pal Ahluwalia and a number of Senior Management Team (SMT) members on Tuesday 15 September 2020.   The lunch was used by Pacific TAFE as part of the internship programme required for their students to experience service in the hospitality industry. The Pacific is now the only region in the world with 41 qualified awardees to hold a Micro-Qualification in Establishing and Operating a Small Seafood Business. The coordinator of the USP Journalism Programme, Dr Shailendra Singh, has co-authored a ground-breaking study into the emerging practice of data journalism in the Pacific, along with the lead author, Dr Kayt Davies of Curtin University, Western Australia.   The study, the first of its kind focused on the Pacific news media, is entitled, ‘Data Journalism in the Pacific: Practices and Perceptions’.
