A total of eighty (80) students graduated from The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Confucius Institute’s (CI) social classes on 9 November 2018. Of this number, 37 graduated from Beginner levels, 27 from Intermediate, 6 from Advanced and 10 from the Children’s class. The University of the South Pacific (USP) and The China Navigation Company (CNCo), parent of Swire Shipping and Swire Bulk, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 10 November to conduct feasibility studies for the design costs and plan for new generation ships for the Pacific region which is committed to low carbon sea transport. The University of the South Pacific (USP) is one of eight (8) organisations in the Asia-Pacific region that were awarded in the 2018 round of the Memory of the World Committee for Asia and the Pacific (MOWCAP)-Asia Culture Centre (ACC) Grants Programme.
