Solar PV Power System at USP Marine Campus gets new lease of life - 20 Oct 2020 10:17:41 am

His Excellency President Lionel Aingimea, M.P., Minister for Education and current Chancellor of The University of the South Pacific visited USP Nauru Campus on 15 September with Chief Secretary, Minister Reagan Aliklik, M.P.; Secretary for Education, Ms Darrina Kun and other officials of the Government.  This was His Excellency’s first official visit to the Campus. USP Celebrates Fiji’s 50th Anniversary of Independence and Marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month - 16 Oct 2020 10:23:05 am
Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete, Honourable Minister for Health and Medical Services was Chief Guest at The University of the South Pacific’s celebrations to commemorate Fiji’s 50th Anniversary of Independence.  The event was also held to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Republic of China (Taiwan) hands over Solar Power System to Nauru Campus - 15 Oct 2020 03:44:27 pm
His Excellency Ambassador Dean Wang, Ambassador of the Republic of China, Taiwan officially handed over a solar power system to The University of the South Pacific’s Nauru Campus on 28th September. USP launches its first Seabin - 15 Oct 2020 11:52:20 am
The University of the South Pacific’s School of Marine Studies (SMS) joins a global seabin  movement this week by launching its first  seabin at the Marine Campus in Laucala, Suva.    Seabins are essentially floating bins, which provide practical and tangible solutions to reduce the plastics found in our oceans. Created by Australian surfer and philanthropist, Pete Ceglinisky, a seabin processes 25,000 liters of seawater per hour, removing rubbish and micro plastics and filtering chemical pollutants such as oil. ... It is common knowledge that the feeling of success and achievements cannot be hidden. Having completed my Masters and graduated on the 19th September, 2019, I felt fulfilled. Like every other student who graduated, that was a very special day for me. Day 4 Attracts record number of school participation - 9 Oct 2020 08:48:54 am
The start of Day 4 of USP’s Online Open Day saw a record number of schools participating in the first zoom session for the day.  15 schools logged into the first session at 8.30am with over 1500 students participating.  The session ran over 2 hours.  Representatives from Faculties and support services said it was a very busy but highly engaging session with a warm and friendly environment.  You could see a lot of excitement on the students’ faces in being able to interact with staff of USP from the comfort of their schools and with their teachers.   ...
