Vice-Chancellor and members of the Senior Management team with the staff and students of the Pacific TAFE Nadi Hospitality and Tourism Training Centre.

The Pacific TAFE training kitchen in Namaka, Nadi, hosted an exhibition lunch for Professor Pal Ahluwalia and a number of Senior Management Team (SMT) members on Tuesday 15 September 2020.

Tropical Island minted fruit salad with sugar-nest served with Vanilla bean Ice-Cream

The lunch was used by Pacific TAFE as part of the internship programme required for their students to experience service in the hospitality industry. The internship is supervised by seasoned practitioners coming from five-star properties to guide students in meeting the industry's standards and expectations of service delivery. The menu for the exhibition lunch used locally sourced ingredients to showcase the endless possibilities of plating five-star cuisine using domestic products, which is a welcome innovation during this downturn in the hospitality industry.

The fantastic smiles on display by the student interns complemented their service and we congratulate Pacific TAFE on lifting the internship standards to make the Nadi programme something USP is proud to offer.
