First year law student, Vanshika Prasad was thrilled to win a Samsung A7 Tablet for her participation through the USP Orientation App where she shared her experience of the Orientation Week with pictures and stories.
USP’s Orientation Week was held last week from 22 – 26 February.
The USP Orientation App was introduced by USP Campus Life
Office in 2020 to ensure a more efficient information dissemination for first year students for the Orientation Week.
The App includes features such as push notifications, interactive maps of USP, School Orientation Session details, workshop details and also provides students a platform to engage with the Campus Life
staff and their fellow first year students.
Vanshika also won a USB Flash Drive when she participated in a quiz at the Orientation Week Village. She said she was overjoyed about winning two prizes in the first week of starting her studies at USP.
The prize of a Samsung Tablet was offered as an incentive to first year students to ensure that they register and communicate via the app. The University’s Campus Life
Section organises an Orientation Week at the start of every academic year, to help first year students make the transition to university life.
Group Manager Campus Life
, Glenn Pope said Vanshika showed great initiative by participating and posting her experiences during the week. He also wished Vanshika the best for her USP journey ahead.
Although the Orientation Week has come to an end, students can continue to actively interact on the App and share information with fellow students
