Terms and Conditions

Introduction

By participating in the USP Graduation Glow Up Challenge, you are agreeing to these competition terms and conditions. This competition is being run by The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Division of Marketing and Communications.

Eligibility to Enter

This competition is open to entrants who will be graduating at the March Graduation Ceremonies held on the 30th and 31st of March 2023.

By entering this competition, you are confirming that you are eligible to do so and eligible to collect any prizes that may be awarded to you.

This competition is free to enter. Participants may post their entries by 11:59pm on Sunday, 2nd April 2023.

Participation Criteria

Participants have to share a short video compilation of their first day, week or year at USP vs their graduation day in their graduation gowns. Images and videos can be used in this creative video however must show the participants at a USP Campus, attending classes, working on assignments or participating in university events.

The videos can be shared on TikTok, Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag: #USPGradGlowUp
Participants must include the #USPGradGlowUp hashtag and ensure that their videos are set to a public audience and not private, for the University Social Media team to view them.

Judging Criteria

  1. Context – shows the participant at a USP Campus, events or in classes at the campus.
  2. Creativity – shows quality transitions and in sync with the music used.
  3. Overall – shows a good understanding of the challenge requirements showing a logical transition from first-year/ university studies to graduation day.

The Prizes

The winner will be awarded two (2) tickets only to watch the Fijian Drua Vs Moana Pasifika on the 27th of May at Churchill Park in Lautoka. The winners will have to make all other arrangements pertaining to transportation or accommodation while in Lautoka.

Winner Announcements

The University of the South Pacific reserves the right to choose the winner for this competition using the set of criteria. The videos will be judged following which the winner will be announced on Monday 3rd of April 2023 at 5pm via USP’s Social Media accounts. The Division of Marketing and Communications will reach out to the winner via Social Media to advise on prize collection.

By participating in this competition, entrants are permitting the university to share videos created by the participants on the University’s Social Media pages for promotion and marketing purposes.

We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of a Promotion. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of a Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you a notice via messages to your social media accounts or to post such notification on the University of the South Pacific website or Social Media pages. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.
