BONJOUR A TOUS!
Have you considered learning French as part of your USP degree programme?
French is widely spoken in the Pacific and across the world, so this language can open up new opportunities for your future, or just give you a new and interesting challenge while you study.
Alliance Française de Suva offers the following French language courses in face-to-face mode at Laucala Campus:
FR101: Introduction to the French Language
FR201: Intermediate French
FR301: Advanced French
FR302: French for Business
You can take these courses as electives within any programme, or you can take a complete Minor in French alongside a Single Major in another subject.
You can also study French as part of a major in Pacific Language Studies, combining 3 core courses in Linguistics with 4 courses in French, and 1 course from a different language.
You will be taught by a native speaking French teacher, using interactive and innovative methods based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. You may also have the chance to sit for an internationally-recognised diploma in French, in addition to credit for your USP degree.
Why learn French?
• Add foreign language skills to your cv
• Open up new job opportunities with NGOs or in tourism
• Study or work in France or New Caledonia
• Travel to French-speaking countries like New Caledonia, Wallis and Futuna, French Polynesia, France, Belgium, Canada …
