IAS HOLDS ‘MEET THE CUSTOMER SESSION’

 

The Institute of Applied Sciences (IAS) hosted a “Meet the Customer Session” on Friday, 18 October 2024 at the USP Lower Campus, Laucala Bay, Suva.  The session provided a platform to enhancing relationships with the IAS Laboratory Services’ valued customers and gain insights that drive continuous improvement for the services offered by the Laboratory.

The IAS Laboratory which is an international accredited Laboratory (to ISO 17025) provides sampling, testing and equipment calibration services and its customers range from food and beverages exporters, hospitality industry, and manufacturing industry in Fiji and the region.  The event brought together representatives of the Laboratory’s customers and the Management and Key Technical Personnel in an open dialogue aimed at understanding needs, sharing innovations, and fostering a collaborative approach to meet future testing demands.

The session feature interactive discussion and one-on-one feedback opportunities.  Customers shared valuable perspectives on their experiences, expectations and evolving requirements.  The Laboratory also presented its accreditation journey and challenges encountered as a Laboratory operating in the Pacific as well as measures undertaken to address issues raised by the customers.  The information gathered during the session will help shape the development of tests that is to be offered by the Laboratory, ensuring it meets customer expectations.

Laboratory customers went on a Laboratory tour and learned about the latest advancements, processes and instruments designed to deliver improved efficiency and quality.  These were well received with constructive feedback given that will be integrated into improving the testing services provided by the Laboratory.
