I’m enrolled and registered. Now what?

To gain access to your course(s) you will need to log in to the University’s online learning platform, which we call, Moodle.

  • Link –> https://elearn.usp.ac.fj/
  • Sign in using your –> Student email (Student ID@student.usp.ac.fj, eg S11069630@student.usp.ac.fj) and student password. Your credentials would have been emailed to you directly. If you cannot locate this please contact Tureheni, tureheni.file@usp.ac.fj

If you log in to Moodle and cannot see your courses please lodge this to moodlehelp@usp.ac.fj cc cook.islands@usp.ac.fj. When sending your email it is important to include relevant details such as:

  • The course(s) that are not appearing

What other services can I access as a student of USP?

Moodle continued

Need help navigating Moodle? Our Student Learning Support Savannah has prepared a short Moodle-101 presentation to help you!

Student Facilities

There are several facilities available for you as a student of USP! Check out the orientation booklet that will be out later this week for more information!

Library & Archives

Library

We have our very own campus library. This is opened Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm with the exceptions of satutory holidays. All current registered students are library members and allowed the following provisions:

  • Undergraduate students: 10 items for 14 days
  • Postgraduate students: 20 items for 30 days

Yes, our library is also accessible online.

Archives

USP Cook Islands is proud to host Emeritus Professor Ron Crocombes archives. There are 240 boxes in this collection and this is accessible from our campus library. A catalogue of the collection can be viewed here.

A big Meitaki Ma’ata to the Crocombe family for donating and trusting us with these materials and to Volunteer Service Abroad who provided us with the expertise and tools to make this collection possible! A special thanks to Tim Jones and Jennie Hood, the archivists who did the hard yards to ensure these materials are preserved, collated and available to the public! Meitaki Maata!

Cook Islands Centre for Research

Te Puna Vai Mārama (Cook Islands Centre for Research) is a joint venture between the Cook Islands Government and the University. Te Puna Vai Mārama aims to be the premier place of research in the Cook Islands. If you are thinking about doing postgraduate studies or have an idea for a thesis or research project Te Puna Vai Mārama can help.

Student Learning Support

Courtesy of Volunteer Service Abroad we are lucky to be welcoming on board Savannah Sullivan this year as our Student Learning Support. Keep an eye out for the workshops that Savannah will be running throughout the semester centered around academic skills, moodle navigation, note-taking, referencing techniques, academic vocabulary and creating effective presentations. Savannah will also be able to speak to you one-on-one to provide you with the support you need to successfully navigate your studies.

You can contact Savannah by email to savannah.sullivan@usp.ac.fj or book a one-on-one appointment with her here.
