The University of the South Pacific’s Labasa Campus participated in the Northern Division Job Fair held on 28th November 2024 at the Labasa Civic Center from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. USP’s participation enhanced visibility and engagement in the Northern Division by raising awareness about its diverse academic programs, providing career guidance and assisting with the 2025 enrollment drive for prospective students.
The USP booth had a fair number of student inquiries throughout the day for various levels of programs. Strong interest was observed in Education, Tourism, and MBA program offered by the respective schools. Similarly, significant interest was also noted in Pacific TAFE programs, particularly, the Professional Diploma in Business Management and Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs, which are offered at Labasa Campus. Additionally, valuable career guidance was provided to interested students based on their interests, addressing their concerns and aspirations and guiding them through the process of filling the online enrollment forms. This event also enabled great networking opportunities with potential students, various employers, and other key stakeholders in the Northern Division.
Overall, the Northern Division Job Fair proved to be a valuable platform for the Labasa Campus to engage with prospective students and stakeholders and to promote its programs.
