Central College Annual Awards Day, Lautoka
On November 26, 2025, Central College Lautoka, a premier secondary education institution in western Fiji, proudly celebrated its Annual Awards Day, marking a significant milestone for the students.
The event, dedicated to honoring the hard work, excellence, and outstanding achievements of the students, featured a distinguished address by Dr. Ashneel Ajay Singh. He represented the University of the South Pacific (USP) and its School of Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics (STEMP), as well as the School of Agriculture, Geography, Environment, Ocean, and Natural Sciences (SAGEONS). Dr. Ajay inspired the students to pursue their dreams fearlessly and work consistently to achieve their goals. He challenged the students to be aware of emerging technologies, tools, and the currently unstoppable emerging age of artificial intelligence (AI), which is quickly becoming a part of our daily lives. Dr. Ajay inspired the students to see these developments as opportunities and use them as empowering tools for their educational journey, and USP will equip them with modern empowerment tools in their journey to achieve their goals. The school was praised for producing excellent candidates for tertiary education and remains an institution of excellence in the heart of Western Fiji.
