Launch of French-Taught First-Year Engineering Program at Emalus Campus, Vanuatu

The University of the South Pacific (USP), in collaboration with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), is proud to announce the launch of a French-taught First-Year Engineering Program at its Emalus Campus in Port Vila, Vanuatu, starting Semester 1, 2024.

This initiative aims to increase access to quality engineering education for Francophone students across the Pacific, particularly from Vanuatu, New Caledonia, and French Polynesia. The program will be delivered entirely in French, ensuring students from French-speaking backgrounds can transition smoothly into higher education in engineering.

🏫 Academic Pathway

Upon successful completion of the first year in French, students will have the opportunity to continue their second and subsequent years in English at the USP Laucala Campus in Fiji or transfer to one of USP’s accredited partner universities worldwide.
