The University of the South Pacific had most recently become a corporate member of the Australasian Radiation Protection Society (ARPS). Corporate membership was granted after Mr. Neil Singh, a staff member of the discipline in Physics (STEMP) had attended the 4-day ARPS 2024 conference in Coffs Harbour, NSW, Australia where he gave a presentation on “USP’s Journey in Nuclear Science: Past, Present and Future Endeavour’s”. USPs corporate logo is now visible on the ARPS corporate members webpage and signifies its presence as being the very first tertiary institute from Fiji and the South Pacific to be featured in ARPS. The university’s logo will also be featured in the ARPS corporate members banner and in its next quarterly magazine in February, including the May Journal in 2025. ARPS Corporate membership will provide numerous benefits and opportunities for the University of the South Pacific and will also offer tangible benefits.
