2025 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings is designed to assess universities’ impact on society, by evaluating their success in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Impact Rankings showcase the meaningful work being delivered by universities, demonstrating the tangible difference the universities are making in addressing critical global challenges, including environmental sustainability, social inclusion, economic growth, and partnerships. USP achieved an overall ranking of 801 – 1000 out of the 2,318 universities ranked in the 2025 THE Impact Rankings. The University has been specifically ranked in the following seven SDGs:

World University Rankings 2025
USP has risen 200 places higher in its fourth year of participation and is now ranked in the 801 – 1000 band in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025. USP has also maintained its position with three ranked THE subjects:
The THE World University Rankings is the only global University league table to evaluate research-intensive universities across all of their core missions: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); industry income (knowledge transfer) and international outlook (international staff, students and research collaborations). |

The World University Rankings for Innovation 2024
USP has been ranked 133rd in the Global Top 300 Innovative Universities. The University continues to maintain a ranking at 35th place in the Crisis Management category and 16th place in the Student Mobility and Openness category. The World University Rankings for Innovation (The WURI) assesses higher education institutions’ real contributions to industry and society, highlighting innovative education, research, and engagement to society. Eduniversal Best Masters & MBAs Ranking 2024

Shanghai Rankings 2024
We have achieved global recognition in the prestigious Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2024, securing a position in the 151–200 bracket worldwide for Hospitality & Tourism Management. This marks a significant milestone for the University, showcasing its growing global reputation in high-impact research, international collaboration and academic excellence. The GRAS rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation of universities, with metrics including the quality and impact of research publications, the strength of international partnerships and the achievements of academic staff.
