USP was granted Initial Accreditation by WSCUC for a period of six years, running from 2018 to 2024, after the successful submission of the Seeking Accreditation Visit 1 (SAV1) Institution Report and hosting of the WSCUC Seeking Accreditation Visit 1 (SAV1) in April 2018. The Initial Accreditation status indicates that USP fulfilled the requirements for WSCUC Accreditation at a substantial level.
WSCUC Accreditation is thorough, broad-ranging and inclusive of all the functions and processes of the University. Please refer to WSCUC Accreditation Standards and its Criteria for Review using which reviews are undertaken.
WSCUC accreditation has brought a number of advantages. It involved exhaustive self-review and peer review across all sections to allow the external accreditor to evaluate the University’s educational quality, and an intensive drive to ensure consistently high standards across academic units. This ongoing process of reviews creates a culture of evidence (demonstrated by data) and promotes commitment to institutional improvement. This process helped bring marked improvements in various areas, including curriculum review and development, external review processes, policy review and implementation, institutional self-evaluation, and monitoring student success.
Please note the following dates as we enter into our reaffirmation phase (2023 and 2024) for WSCUC Accreditation:
